This morning I read a report on proposed SEZs for Maharashtra. It stated that L&T's proposed project for it's IT SEZ has been held up, as it is falling short of 0.7 acres of land of the 25 acres that's required for any project to be declared as an SEZ. And this proposed project is in Powai. The joke is that, not very far from this project is Hiranandani Constructions' SEZ (that's what it reads), standing tall and high on barely seven acres of land.

well Mira , there has been some modification in SEZ rules for sizes of land bank to be acquired , for it to be declared an SEZ , it might be that ,Hiranandani had acquired t land bank well before policy changes were made...for that matter , Wipro , n Infy too boast of SEZs which are of some 7 - 8 odd acres... ,,,do i know you btw ?
Yeah mizarukikazaruiwazaru (my fingers have lost some fat typing that word. Maybe you are right. Though I must say it doesn't look vast enough to be declared an SEZ.
Well, I don't know if you know me, but I do know that the world is a small place and it keeps going round and round.
